Tell Your Member to Support Reproductive Well-Being in FY 25 Funding Bills

On September 25th, Congress approved and passed a Continuing Resolution (CR) to avert a government shutdown. The short term CR is a bipartisan measure that extends government funding until December 20, 2024. This means that priority programs and policies that support reproductive well-being such as the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program (TPP) and Title X Family Planning Program (Title X) remain funded at current levels. As Congress works toward a longer-term agreement to fund the government, it is critical that they support reproductive well-being by increasing funding to priority programs and eliminating harmful policies that create barriers to information and health care for our communities. Specifically, Congress must:

  • Provide $512 million for the Title X Family Planning Program;
  • Provide $150 million for the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program;
  • Eliminate funding for the harmful Sexual Risk Avoidance Program; and
  • Remove anti-abortion policy riders such as the Hyde and Weldon Amendments.

 As people continue to struggle to access sexual and reproductive health care, our policymakers should be increasing funding to programs that support our communities. Contact your Members of Congress and tell them to increase funding for critical programs like TPP and Title X, and reject efforts to undermine reproductive well-being.
