How much money a person has and where they live should not determine their ability to access abortion care. Unfortunately, this is far from reality as anti-abortion advocates and policymakers continue to take actions to try and further erode access to care. Even before Dobbs, policies like the Hyde Amendment, which bans public insurance coverage except in limited circumstances, created increasing barriers to abortion care. For some, the barriers are insurmountable. The Equal Access to Abortion Coverage in Health Insurance Act (EACH) Act would work to change this. The EACH Act:

• Eliminates bans on public insurance coverage of abortion care and guarantees insurance coverage of abortion for every person; and
• Protects against federal interference with private health insurance companies that choose to offer coverage for abortion care.
