We call on federal legislators to reject the proposal of the House Ways and Means Committee to raise the standard of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) in the National School Lunch Programs, making it more difficult for districts to meet the eligibility requirement. Many of our local schools can provide students with free breakfast and lunch with federal funding available to CEP schools. Maintain the current eligibility provisions and help schools feed our kids.
