Trout Unlimited leverages federal funding to restore trout and salmon habitat, while also creating clean water and driving economic growth in rural communities across the country. Our restoration work injects millions of dollars into local economies, supports small businesses, boosts tourism, and ensures that healthy communities thrive alongside healthy rivers and streams and thriving trout and salmon populations.
Nationally, TU has more than $230 million in obligated federal funding through 2031.
Unfortunately, administration reviews of federal grants and agreements has created uncertainty and project delays for Trout Unlimited’s contractors, employees, and on-the-ground partners.
Thanks in no small part to advocates like you, reviews of these contracts appear to be moving forward and we are now getting back to work. But considerable uncertainty remains about the future of the federal infrastructure funding that powers the restoration economy.
More than ever, we need you to contact your members of Congress and ask them to support conservation jobs and the restoration economy.
