Take Action: Tell Congress to Fund Our Schools!
On Capitol Hill, members of Congress are busy working on a federal funding package for the next fiscal year (FY 27). This package of funding would run from October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027 and would determine how much funding will be allocated to federal programs that serve our nation's children, families, and schools.

At PTA, we know that federal investments are critical to ensuring the educational success and well-being of all children in our country. We also know that the U.S. Department of Education has been instrumental in helping to ensure our most vulnerable students across the country aren’t left behind. Unfortunately today, the U.S. only invests about 3% of the regular federal budget on education, and this year key programs that support our nation’s children, families, and schools are at risk of being underfunded or eliminated entirely.

You can help by taking action today and reminding Congress to prioritize our nation's children, families, and schools! Together, we can ensure that every community has the resources needed to help all children reach their potential and thrive.
