If passed, this important bill would finally codify the abortion rights guaranteed by Roe nearly 50 years ago and protect the rights under siege by harmful state laws often motivated by narrow religious views of healthcare access in our communities. The bill guarantees the right of a patient to access an abortion and the right of an abortion provider to deliver such service.

Roe was only the floor, not the ceiling. Since last year, millions have not been able to access abortions in their home state.
