Condemn Anti-Hindu Hate Incidents In California Committed By Pro-Khalistan Extremists!

Pro-Khalistan Extremism Against Hindus Must Not Continue Unabated

This past year has seen an increase in anti-Hindu hate incidents, with the California Civil Rights Department’s CA vs. Hate hotline reporting nearly 25% of all religious bias calls were to report anti-Hindu hate incidents. Most of the recent targeted hate incidents against Hindus have been committed by pro-Khalistan extremists, who claim their cause is political yet whose “activism” targets Hindus and Hindu places of worship, a clear violation of California law.

These extremists endanger the safety of the Hindu community and have left California Hindus fearful. To date, no pro-Khalistan perpetrators have been held accountable for:

  • DEFACING the Hindu SMVS Shri Swaminarayan Temple with pro-Khalistan graffiti in Newark, CA
  • DEFACING the Sherawali Mandir with pro-Khalistan graffiti in Hayward, CA
  • TRESPASSING onto Hindu temple grounds to harass Hindu devotees, including children and elderly, during prayers
  • PHYSICALLY ASSAULTING Hindus with a ten-foot pole and throwing glass beer bottles
  • ENGAGING IN INTIMIDATION by driving with screens sporting phrases like “Hindu Terrorist” through areas densely populated with Hindus in Santa Clara County and Sacramento, CA.
  • FIREBOMBING  the Indian Consulate in San Francisco, CA

It is essential that the California State Legislature vehemently condemn the violent, targeted actions of pro-Khalistan extremists and ensure law enforcement takes decisive action against the perpetrators.

 TAKE ACTION NOW!
