Health care is already too expensive for many Alabamians — and unless Congress acts soon, it’s about to get much worse.
More than 400,000 Alabamians receive enhanced premium tax credits to help them afford coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace (HealthCare.gov) created under the Affordable Care Act. These tax credits have made health insurance more affordable and accessible — especially here in Alabama, where leaders have refused to expand Medicaid. That means we rely more heavily on HealthCare.gov to keep our communities covered.
But these enhanced tax credits are set to expire at the end of this year — and the consequences will be devastating.
🔺 What’s at stake?
We can’t let that happen.
🖊️ Add your voice now: Tell Congress to extend the enhanced premium tax credits and protect health care access for Alabama families.
These tax credits are saving lives — helping Alabamians get covered, catch illnesses early and access the care they need. In a state where coverage is already limited, we can’t afford to take a step backward.
👉 Sign the petition today and urge Congress: Keep health insurance affordable. Don’t let Alabama lose coverage.
