Tell Your Senator to Vote for the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act
The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act passed the House in January by a vote of 220-210. Now it goes to the Senate, where it has been introduced by Sen. Jim Lankford of Oklahoma and Sen. John Thune of South Dakota.

The legislation guarantees that live-born infants are afforded the full protection of the law, regardless of their stage of development or whether their live births occurred during an abortion. The bill requires that any health care practitioner present during a botched abortion that results in a live birth to exercise the same degree of professional skill, care, and diligence to preserve the life and health of the child as a reasonably diligent and conscientious health care practitioner would render to any other child born alive at the same gestational age.  After the exercise of that skill, care, and diligence required, ensure that the child born alive is immediately transported and admitted to a hospital.

This bill is especially needed now that states like California and New York have repealed protections they had in state law!
