Ohio Doctor Accused of Forcing Abortion Pills. Tell the FDA to Act!
A Toledo man held his pregnant girlfriend down while she was sleeping to force crushed abortion pills down her throat. According to an investigation by the State Medical Board of Ohio, the Toledo man, Hassan-James Abbas, a doctor in Toledo, bought abortion pills online using his estranged wife’s name and crushed them into a powder, which he forced the victim to orally ingest while pinning her down. The unborn child did not survive.

Even though the victim did not want an abortion, her baby still died because of how easy it is to obtain abortion-inducing drugs.

TAKE ACTION: CONTACT YOUR DC OFFICIALS

This has to stop! The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) must immediately reinstate the Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies (REMS) for the abortion pill.

In April 2021, the Biden administration announced it would temporarily lift the in-person dispensing requirement for Mifepristone during the COVID-19 pandemic, allowing it to be prescribed via telehealth and sent by mail. In 2023, the FDA made that change permanent.

The Trump Administration must act NOW to reinstate the REMS requirements for the safety of women and children.

Use Center for Christian Virtue’s Action Center to contact your US House and Senate Members, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and FDA Commissioner Martin Makary, MD, today to demand the FDA protect women! It only takes 60 seconds to make a life-or-death difference.
