OUR ASK: We urge the Worker's Compensation Advisory Council to support extending worker's compensation coverage for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) to all emergency medical services (EMS) practitioners and firefighters, including volunteers without the fee schedule limits that have caused this PTSD coverage to not be passed in prior years.

How to Structure Your Written Submission:

• Include the following:
  • Your Name, Title, Department and Location
  • Why Are You Submitting Written Comments ("I'm here to support extending worker's compensation coverage for PTSD to all EMS providers and volunteer firefighters and as a member of the Wisconsin EMS Association.")
  • Stating that you are a member of WEMSA further supports our ability to advocate on your behalf - this is important as it helps drive a consistent message.
• Share a personal experience or connection regarding PTSD.
• State your support for PTSD coverage for all EMS providers and volunteer firefighters (again).
• Thank the Council for their time.
