Protect the Ruby Mountains from speculative oil and gas leasing

Nevadans depend on public lands for hunting, fishing, grazing and many forms of outdoor recreation. These places support the state’s outdoor and tourism economies, especially in rural areas. The Ruby Mountains in particular, with their unparalleled fish and big-game habitat, draw outdoor enthusiasts from all over the world to experience towering peaks, horizon-chasing valleys, and remarkable fish and wildlife.

That’s why we celebrated with local Nevadans when the Department of the Interior announced  they would begin the process of withdrawing 264,000 acres of the area from speculative oil and gas leasing. Now the federal agency wants to hear from you about this plan. Please join Sportsmen for the Rubies in asking the Department of the Interior to protect the Rubies!
