Congress is working to finalize a budget resolution that could drastically cut SNAP and Medicaid, taking health care and food assistance from millions.
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides 40 million people per month access to basic, nutritious foods. Medicaid provides health coverage for nearly 80 million Americans. These programs are effective, efficient, and vital to people in all 50 states. This new budget would cut these programs to the bone to pay for tax cuts for the wealthy.
Submit a letter to the editor today telling Congress to reject cuts to SNAP and Medicaid.
