Let your voice be heard - WA Firearms Purchases
WA House Bill 1163 will require a lengthy and burdensome permitting process in order to be eligible to purchase a firearm in Washington. If this bill passes, a person will need to obtain a permit to purchase a firearm, and go through a firearms safety training program. The permit will require a mental health analysis, background checks, fingerprints and fees. The costs of fees are still unknown at this time, but there will be fees for the mandatory safety course, and to obtain the permit to purchase a firearm.

This bill also makes it very difficult to transfer gun ownership to family members. In order for a firearm to be passed on to a child, the child must have a permit to purchase a firearm.
