The act would define various assault weapons and would restrict the manufacture, sale, purchase, and possession of these assault weapons. The following is included in the definition of an assault weapon. Semi-automatic shotgun that has at least one of the following: fixed magazine capacity exceeding 6 rounds, ability to accept a detachable magazine, folding, telescoping or detachable stock, pistol grip, or thumbhole stock.
