Does Your Small Business Rely on Independent Contractors?
The Department of Labor has complicated the process for classifying workers as independent contractors.

The 2024 Independent Contractor Rule takes a simple two-pronged test for determining who is and who is not an independent contractor and replaces it with an overcomplicated, arbitrary six-pronged test. The problem with the rule is that there is no room for honest mistakes when classifying workers. Under this confusing rule, accidental worker misclassification mistakes will increase. Honest small business owners trying to properly classify workers are going to face expensive legal and tax problems with federal and state agencies because of this complicated rule.

Take action now to tell your lawmakers in Washington, DC to support legislation that would overturn the Independent Contractor Rule!
