General Assembly Passes Tort Reform
UPDATE: SB 68 passed the Senate 33-21 and passed the House on a vote of 91-82. It will now head to the Governor's desk.

Georgia’s broken legal system hurts all of us. Higher insurance premiums, endless legal ads, fewer jobs.  That’s the cost of our out-of-control litigation climate. In fact, Georgia was recently named as the worst “judicial hellhole” of all 50 states! We deserve better.

Governor Brian Kemp has announced a comprehensive solution to bring balance back to Georgia’s legal environment.  His proposal would protect responsible business owners from being held liable for criminal activity beyond their control, allow jurors to consider actual damages not inflated phantom damages, and bring transparency and regulation to the third-party litigation funding industry.

Thank you for being part of this movement to bring fairness back to Georgia’s legal system!
