Oppose Devastating Medicaid Cuts!
On February 25, the House of Representatives narrowly passed the “Concurrent Budget Resolution,” the first step in the Reconciliation process and opening the door to upwards of $880 billion in potential cuts to the Medicaid program.

Reach out to your legislators today and demand that they protect Medicaid funding!

These cuts could dramatically impact the lives of millions of our country’s most vulnerable populations – children, pregnant women, seniors and low-income families – many who rely on Medicaid for essential care. Medicaid provides not only healthcare but also economic security, especially in rural and underserved areas.

Current proposals being discussed by Congress threaten to slash Medicaid funding by reducing federal Medicaid matching funds, establish per capita caps that would cripple the Medicaid system and disproportionately harm rural and at-risk communities across the country.

Per capita caps would force states to cut benefits, coverage and provider payments and could lead to additional critical services like prescription drugs and dental care being eliminated.

This cannot happen - It’s imperative that Congress take a stand to protect the millions of Americans who rely on Medicaid for care.

Congress should work to support state innovations that improve outcomes without reducing eligibility and invest in preventative care that would lower long-term costs and lead to better health outcomes for our most vulnerable populations.

Please take a moment and contact your representative and senators today and urge them to oppose per capita caps and any Medicaid cuts that are proposed.

Protecting Medicaid means protecting patients, providers and local economies and Congress has a responsibility to their constituents to safeguard their access to care through the Medicaid program!
