This funding has touched all corners of the state. Thanks to over 3,000 grants that have been awarded to nearly 1,000 organizations, residents of all 87 counties have been able to engage with their communities’ heritage. Through these grants, along with statewide programs and partnerships, Legacy Funding has delivered history to Minnesotans of all ages and walks of life.

The Minnesota Historical Society administers Legacy funds and demand remains strong, with grant requests outweighing available funds by a 2.25:1 ratio.
