  Spotted Lanternfly Quarantine Issued in Cecil and Harford Counties  
 

The Maryland Department of Agriculture issued a spotted lanternfly quarantine for all of Cecil and Harford counties. This quarantine is effective immediately and will restrict the movement of regulated articles within the quarantine zone that contain the spotted lanternfly in any of its life stages, including egg masses, nymphs, and adults. More information about the spotted lanternfly can be found on the department's website.

  USDA Releases Long-Awaited Industrial Hemp Regulations  
 
On Tuesday, Oct. 29, USDA released the text of its interim final rule for regulations establishing a domestic hemp production program. Since this is an interim final rule, it will be in effect immediately upon being published in the Federal Register. The public now has an opportunity to provide comment through the Federal Register for a period of 60 days beginning Oct. 31.   Qualifying for Social Security as a Farmer or Rancher
