Right now, the program has been under attack by the pharmaceutical industry. Many states have passed, or are working to pass, laws aimed at protecting how the 340B contracts are enacted. While Kansas policymakers put language in the budget bill last session, protections previously passed in the budget haven’t given courts the ability to protect the program without that language in state statute.
We need to urge lawmakers to pass Senate Bill 284, and put 340B protections in state statute keeping those dollars invested in Kansas patient care, rather than lining the pockets of pharmaceutical manufacturers. The bill passed the Senate last week with 34 of 40 votes!
Now is the time to tell the House they need to vote on this important issues during the last days of the 2025 session!
Tell your state lawmakers to protect 340B in Kansas today!
