Keep Washington's State Trust Lands as Working Forests
Washington state trust lands are public working forests that provide much-needed funding for public schools, fire districts, libraries and many additional community services without raising your taxes.

In addition to supporting thousands of jobs and providing sustainable, Washington-grown and Washington-made wood products, state trust lands also provide clean water, recreational opportunities and quality wildlife habitat.

Unfortunately, some want to shut down state trust lands from management. Please send a message to decision-makers in Olympia. Tell them you support our public working forests.

Timber harvesting is already prohibited on nearly half of the state trust lands in western Washington to protect endangered species and old growth forests. Federal lands, which make up 44% of Washington’s forests, are largely unmanaged, overstocked, and experience high mortality from insects, disease, and fire. Let's not let this to happen to our state lands.
