Support Active Forest Management on Pacific Northwest Public Lands
Active forest management on public lands provides multiple benefits, including timber, access, recreation, clean water, wildlife habitat and more.

Forest management tools- such as logging, thinning, prescribed burning and grazing- can also help reduce the intensity of wildfires and give firefighters better and safer opportunities to control them.

Sustainable management of our forests includes reforestation, removal of dead and dying trees after a fire, while maintaining protections for water sources and wildlife habitat. To help combat climate change, forest management maximizes our forests' ability to sequester and store more carbon, especially when we lock that carbon in long-lived wood products.

Timber that's sustainably grown and harvested right here in the Pacific Northwest supports good paying jobs and local small businesses and generates revenues to support public services such as public safety and roads.

Please send a message to your federal and state representatives. Tell them you support active forest management on public lands to benefit our environment and our economy.
