Led by Dr. Alfred Danielian, the Nevada ACC Chapter is spearheading legislation to require automatic external defibrillators at all school athletic events and require all schools to have an athletic emergency action plan to respond to anyone experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. Yesterday, Assembly Bill 454 was introduced by Assemblymember Hanadi Nadeem.
We need your help!
We know that over 23,000 children under the age of 18 experience cardiac arrest outside a hospital each year in the United States. Almost 40% of these events are sports-related, highlighting the need for AEDs to be on-site for athletic events. Assembly Bill 454 is a step in the right direction and will save lives.
