Take Action: Protect Medicaid Expansion in Idaho
Dear Idaho-ACC Member,

There is currently a bill in the Idaho legislature to repeal Medicaid Expansion in the state. House Bill 138 creates 11 different “triggers” – or conditions that, if unfulfilled, would repeal Medicaid Expansion in Idaho. Some of these conditions include:

  • Enrollment cap of 50,000 people, a reduction of nearly 35,000 Idahoans
  • Work requirements for participants
  • Biannual redeterminations
  • Lifetime benefit limit of 36 months

Many of the conditions listed in HB 138 are currently illegal or require federal action, therefore setting up Medicaid Expansion to be repealed in 2026. It is estimated that nearly 85,000 Idahoans will be disenrolled if HB 138 passes, leaving our most vulnerable population without the health care they need.

We need your help! HB 138 narrowly passed the House and is now under consideration in the Senate.

Please send a letter to your State Senator urging them to protect Medicaid and your patients and oppose HB 138.
