Across New Jersey, public schools are increasingly promoting radical gender ideology—often without the knowledge or consent of parents. Policy 5756, crafted by state officials and adopted by school districts across the state, is a clear example of this ideological overreach.
This policy enables schools to treat children according to their self-declared “gender identity,” regardless of biological reality. What’s worse, it permits—and in some cases, requires—school staff to hide this information from parents, effectively cutting mothers and fathers out of vital decisions regarding their children’s mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
This is not about tolerance. It’s about indoctrination. And it's time for families to stand up and say enough.
The Center for Garden State Families unapologetically affirms what science, common sense, and natural law have always declared:
There are only two sexes: male and female, determined by immutable biological reality (XX and XY chromosomes).
No scientific study has ever found a “gay gene” or any conclusive biological basis for same-sex attraction or gender dysphoria.
Emotional, developmental, or social confusion does not override biological truth.
Despite decades of effort, not one peer-reviewed scientific study has proven that individuals are “born in the wrong body.” Yet children are being encouraged—by activists and educators—to embark on life-altering “transitions” based on ideology, not science.
Policy 5756 didn’t appear in a vacuum. It was born from decades of legal and cultural manipulation:
In 1991, New Jersey’s Law Against Discrimination (LAD) was amended to include sexual orientation.
In 2006, “gender identity and expression” were added.
In 2017, then-Governor Chris Christie signed a package of laws expanding so-called “transgender rights,” forcing schools to adopt gender-identity-based accommodations.
In 2018, Policy 5756 was formalized, applying these laws in ways that actively override parental involvement and biology-based education.
These changes have weaponized anti-discrimination laws to suppress dissent, redefine truth, and push a dangerous agenda on children and families.
For years, the LGBTQ movement has relied on one central myth: that people are “born this way.” Despite no scientific evidence to support the claim, this idea has been repeated so often in the media, schools, and government, it has come to be accepted as truth by much of society.
This is not a new tactic. Joseph Goebbels, infamous propagandist for the Nazi regime, once stated:
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it... The truth is the mortal enemy of the lie.”
Today, gender ideology uses this same method—repeating a falsehood until it silences opposition and shapes public policy.
But the truth cannot and must not be silenced.
Policy 5756 is more than bad policy—it is a direct threat to parental rights, biological reality, and the moral integrity of our schools. By promoting gender confusion, excluding parents, and redefining truth, this policy undermines the God-given structure of the family and society.
The case of Christin Heaps, who sued Delaware Valley Regional High School for secretly socially transitioning his daughter against his wishes, is a chilling example of what’s happening right now in our communities.
We urge every concerned parent, citizen, pastor, and legislator to take immediate action:
✅ Demand the repeal of Policy 5756 from your local school district.
✅ Support legislation that affirms parental rights and prohibits schools from hiding gender identity changes from parents.
✅ Call & contact your elected officials and demand they defend biological truth in education.
✅ Support the Center for Garden State Families as we continue the fight in court, in Trenton, and in school districts across the state.
✅ Share this message with your church, community group, and school board.
We must not allow ideological forces to redefine truth, science, and family. Our children deserve truth, not propaganda. Parents deserve to be informed and involved—not silenced. And schools should support families, not divide them.
The Center for Garden State Families will not stop fighting until every child is protected, every parent respected, and every lie exposed.
