Stop Higher Energy Costs—Take Action Now!
Arizona lawmakers are considering three bills—SB1113, HB2679, and SB1119—that would increase utility costs, limit energy competition, and weaken consumer protections. These bills would hand more power to monopoly utilities, allowing them to control renewable energy projects, pass the costs of bad investments onto ratepayers, and weaken the state agency that advocates for consumers.

SB1113 is an anti-free market power grab that gives utility monopolies more control over renewable energy projects, shutting out competition and raising costs for consumers. It could also hurt rooftop solar customers by making it harder for them to share their extra energy with the grid.

HB2679 - Establishes a new way for utilities to have their customers shoulder all the costs of retiring or transitioning energy plants, letting utilities avoid financial responsibility for bad investments.

SB1119 weakens the Residential Utility Consumers Office (RUCO), making it harder for the agency to fight for lower utility bills and consumer protections.

These bills prioritize monopoly profits over Arizona families and businesses. Tell your state senator and representative to vote NO on SB1113, HB2679, and SB1119. Click to the right to send a message urging them to stand with Arizona consumers—not corporate interests!
