Take Action for Reduced Licensure Costs

Urge your legislators to support bipartisan legislation - Freedom to Invest in Tomorrow's Workforce Act - that would help landscape architects defray some of the costs associated with securing and maintaining their license.

Specifically, the Freedom to Invest in Tomorrow's Workforce Act (S. 756, H.R. 1151) would expand eligible expenses under 529 savings plans to cover costs associated with:

  • Licensure prep courses, practice exams, and required books and equipment;
  • Licensure exams;
  • Continuing education and licensure renewal; and
  • Other costs required to obtain and maintain a license.

Like all licensed professionals, landscape architects and licensure candidates incur considerable costs for the educational and professional development requirements to obtain and maintain their license.  ASLA is committed to identifying tools, resources, and policies to help offset or defray some of these costs.

Help us pass the Freedom to Invest in Tomorrow’s Workforce Act - Take Action Today!
