The American Geriatrics Society (AGS) is committed to supporting our members across the country. As you may have read, President Trump and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), on January 27th, ordered a freeze on all activities related to obligation or disbursement of all federal grants, loans, and financial assistance, including the issuance of new grants. It was slated to take effect on Tuesday, January 28th at 5:00 pm but was temporarily blocked by a federal judge until Monday, February 3rd. In light of this, we are seeking your assistance to educate your members of Congress about the impact a potential freeze could have on older Americans in your state.
