Urge Congress to Eliminate Deficit Spending
For several decades, Congress and the White House have continuously spent trillions of dollars more than available revenue. In 2024, for the first time in our history, the U.S. government started spending more on interest payments for the national debt than on the military. Billionaire and head of the Department of Government Efficiency, Elon Musk, remarked, “If this continues, the country will become de facto bankrupt.”

Can you imagine what our country would look like if it went bankrupt? Critical government services could cease to exist, and the U.S. dollar would lose its standing on the world stage. It would be a disaster.

As Congress considers renewing the Trump tax cuts, it is crucial to acknowledge the enormous debt our nation is facing. The United States is currently over $36 trillion in debt, and there is no clear plan to begin reducing this staggering amount.

While tax cuts for American families are important and necessary, Congress must also focus on reducing government spending. It is essential to work towards a balanced budget and a plan to pay down our growing debt.

TAKE ACTION

Urge Congress to aggressively reduce spending in the upcoming budget.
