Oppose Legislation to Mandate Project Labor Agreements on Long Island School Construction

The Long Island delegation of state representatives wants to pass a bill (S.1672/A.756) that would mandate Project Labor Agreements on all school construction on Long Island. The bill is sponsored by Senator Martinez, Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick, Martins, Mattera, Murray, Palumbo, Rhoads, and Weik. In the Assembly, it’s sponsored by Assemblymember Solages, Griffin, Schiavoni, Stern, Burroughs, Kassay, O’Pharow, and Ramos. Those individuals represent nearly the entire Long Island delegation, including many of you.

I am sending this email to ask you to help us block this horrible bill. We’ve set up a letter-writing campaign specifically for Long Island members to ask their elected officials to oppose this legislation. Please click the link below to send a letter to your State Senator, Assemblymember, and the Governor opposing this legislation.
