Urgent: Senate to Vote TODAY on ABC Opposed NLRB Nominee
The U.S. Senate is set to vote this week on the nomination of National Labor Relations Board Chair Lauren McFerran to serve a third term, threatening Democratic control of the Board through August 2026, two years into President-elect Donald Trump’s term. With a Republican trifecta secured for the 119th Congress, it is more important than ever that President Trump has the ability to nominate his choice for the NLRB.

Under McFerran’s leadership, the NLRB has issued decisions and expanded interpretations of the National Labor Relations Act that have been rejected by the business community, Congress and federal courts.

While her nomination had stalled so far in the Senate, Majority Leader Chuck Schumer recently filed cloture a full Senate vote, stating that “confirming the NLRB nominees is one of our highest priorities.”

ABC has issued a KEY VOTE in opposition to McFerran’s nomination. The ABC-led Coalition for a Democratic Workplace has also sent a letter of opposition signed by more than 50 organizations.

ABC now encourages you to contact your senators and urge them to reject Lauren McFerran’s nomination to serve another term on the NLRB.
