On August 24, the House approved a $3.5 trillion budget framework following days of negotiations between Democratic leadership and moderates. In the Senate, the framework allocates a portion of these funds to each Committee, who have until September 15 to write their sections and send it to the Budget Committee for approval. The current proposal includes significant spending on families, healthcare, climate, infrastructure, and jobs, but will require the support of all 50 Democratic Senators to be enacted.
