Dear member, Last session, Rep. Chris Quinn introduced House Bill 1186, which makes several needed changes to our licensing law. The bill passed the House overwhelmingly, but did not achieve a final vote in the Senate before the session ended. This year Rep. Patrick Gallagher has agreed to reintroduce the bill, as it was at the end of last session. That bill is HB 1490. After a couple of amendments were added in the House to address concerns of some interested groups, the new bill passed the House overwhelmingly again this past fall, and is awaiting consideration in the Senate,. We believe the bill can become law this session, but we need your help. Please click on the message below, and send an email to your state Senator asking for his/her support. You can add your own personal comments as well. Thanks in advance for stepping up to help your profession.
