In 2021 Nevada enacted SB390, legislation that established a fee of $0.35 monthly for residents to support 988 services. This year, Nevada enacted SB237, which clarified the definitions of the phone lines that would be subjected to a fee. After two years since the original fee bill was passed, Nevada has started collecting the surcharge on residents’ phone bills for June.
