July is Bebe Moore Campbell National Minority Mental Health Month
July 6, 2023 by Vibrant Public Policy Department

July is Bebe Moore Campbell National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month! Created through an act of Congress in 2008, Bebe Moore Campbell National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month aims to improve access to mental health treatment and services and increase public awareness of mental health, particularly for racial minorities/historically marginalized populations. Bebe Moore Campbell was an author, mental health advocate, and co-founder of the NAMI Urban LA chapter. We honor her legacy this month, and every month, as we work to end the stigma associated with mental illness.
