NASMHPD is a resource to assist states in preparing for legislation to support 988 implementation. NASMHPD recently released a newly-updated 988 Core Model Bill, which includes new sections related to Behavioral Health Parity, Health Equity, 988/911 Coordination, Financial Sustainability, and Children, Youth, and Families. In partnership with Vibrant Emotional Health, NASMHPD also recently released a State-by-State Legislative Analysis of Funding for 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, which includes a chart summarizing and providing a status of states' 988 bills, enacted budgets, and appropriations for 2022.
