Vote NO on SB26-097. Reduce demand. Protect survivors.
SB26-097 gets it backwards.

While framed as a safety measure, this bill would remove penalties for sex buyers and dismantle key tools used to combat commercial sexual exploitation. By repealing offenses like patronizing prostitution, SB26-097 risks expanding the very market that traffickers depend on.

Survivors and research consistently show: when demand rises, exploitation follows.

Colorado can and should protect victims from criminalization—but not at the cost of giving buyers a free pass. A smarter approach would fully protect those who are sold while strengthening accountability for those who create the market.

Vote NO on SB26-097. Reduce demand. Protect survivors.
