Background Information:
For the past few months, we have been sharing information about Transforming Grace, which is an initiative of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR). This initiative is an effort to see the world through a contemplative lens.
Transforming Grace invites us to…
-Listen deeply to one another. -Continue to build relationships. -Create a field of healing for the world.
-Be the still points in the chaos in which we point to Jesus and our faith to guide us in word and action. -Pause for deep reflection and then act.
No matter what role we serve at SND (sister, associate, ministry partner, etc.), we can develop the understanding and skills to work together, to diminish polarization and build inclusion, respecting all life as sacred.
To further this initiative, LCWR is offering a contemplative prayer experience during their national assembly in Orlando, Florida on Friday, August 16 from 2-3 pm EDT. This contemplative prayer experience is called, Who Then Shall We Be? A Contemplative Prayer for the World.
This experience will be live-streamed, and we are inviting you to participate. We are also extending the invitation for you to share this experience with others by sharing the link below.
Finally, we are inviting you to share this information with your elected officials. A letter has been prepared to send with this Voter Voice Action Alert extending the invitation.
We believe in the power of prayer and respond in solidarity with the fragility of the world while reflecting on our call to respond to that fragility as bearers of the gospel message.
