Tell legislators to make state services the priority
Did you know that 1 in 4 state jobs remain vacant? Unfilled positions are leaving employees overworked and underpaid.

The Office of State Budget and Management says the state has a $188 million surplus for 2024, which could be used to provide significant retention bonuses for dedicated state employees above the 3 percent salary increase that is already budgeted.

The General Assembly is working on the budget for 2024, and the process is moving fast. We have no time to waste. Legislators must make state employees and retirees the priority in this budget, or the vacancy crisis will continue to grow.

Now is the time for you to act. Please take a few minutes and use the form on this page to send a note to your legislators explaining what you do for the state and how money in your pocket would affect you.
