Our team at Razom for Ukraine usually thinks it's prudent not to react publicly to everything public officials say. We would rather stay focused on promoting good policy. But this is different. Justice can only be won on a foundation of truth. Ukraine supporters need to speak up.

Ukraine is our ally. Ukrainians have paid in blood every day for their freedom. U.S. aid to Ukraine is subject to some of the most rigorous oversight mechanisms of any federal funding, with multiple layers of accountability, including audits, tracking systems, and congressional reporting. It’s also worth noting that a majority of the funds allocated for Ukraine aid are being spent here in America, breathing new life into our own defense industrial base.

Ukrainians have asked for nothing except the necessary tools to defend themselves and the rest of us from Putin's invading forces. The president needs to know this is wrong and that he must change course.
