At a time when we should be focusing our efforts on providing federal, state and local health departments with the data, workforce and technical assistance they need to combat measles outbreaks and protect their communities from other health threats like H5 bird flu, the Trump administration has instead been pursuing efforts to eliminate critical public health jobs and programs at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Cutting these programs and the HHS workforce will not make America healthier but instead will reduce our ability to respond to disease outbreaks and other public health emergencies.

Contact your members of Congress and urge them to oppose the administration’s efforts to cut HHS budget and staff.
