In the wake of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision overturning Roe v. Wade, attacks on reproductive rights have continued to rise, including threats to contraception.  

Thankfully, champions in Congress have introduced a variety of bills to provide federal protections for reproductive health care, including the Right to Contraception Act. This bill would affirm the right to birth control and related counseling, as well as the right for health care professionals to provide contraceptive care and information. 

As we expect a new over-the-counter birth control pill to hit store shelves soon, now is the time to write your members of Congress. Let them know why guaranteeing the right to birth control is important to you and your community. Then urge them to pass the Right to Contraception Act to ensure that everyone has the right to decide if, when, and under what circumstances to get pregnant.
