Background:
During the height of the pandemic, Congress passed legislation expanding telehealth for Medicare beneficiaries. As you know, telehealth has proven to be a critical tool in ensuring that patients, especially those in rural areas, can access high-quality cancer treatment. Without further Congressional action, current flexibilities expired on September 30, 2025.
The Creating Opportunities Now for Necessary and Effective Care Technologies (CONNECT) for Health Act (H.R. 4206/S. 1261) would extend coverage of Medicare telehealth services, make COVID-19 telehealth flexibilities permanent, improve health outcomes, and make it easier for patients to connect with their doctors.
