This evening, Kristin DeVries, NYSHFA|NYSCAL's Director of Government Relations, testified before the Joint Legislative Budget Committee Hearing on Health to advance top budgetary priorities in the skilled nursing and assisted living sector. Among the healthcare issues affecting the State, Medicaid reimbursement, restoration of capital cuts, depreciation for proprietary skilled nursing facilities, and the authorization of certified medication aides in nursing homes were top of mind for the FY 2025-26 State Budget cycle.
