Nearly 100 Nevada REALTORS® members made the trek to central Florida last week to attend the National Association of REALTORS® Conference and Expo. The event kicked off at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando last Thursday (Nov. 10) and continued through the weekend with governance meetings, industry-specific classes and presentations and wrapped up Monday with its annual fall Board of Directors meeting.
NVR members held 82 NAR committee appointments in 2022. Those committees ranged from Consumer Communications and Insurance to Finance and MLS, as well as everything in between. Those committees wrapped up their 2022 work with end-of-the- year meetings in recent days. Another highlight of the event was the installation gala of 2023 NAR President Kenny Parcell. During the ceremony, Nevada REALTORS® 2015 President Kevin Sigstad was installed as the 2023 Region XI RVP. Click here to read more and view pictures.
The National Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors and the NAR Delegate Body met in back-to-back meetings Monday, capping off NAR NXT, The REALTOR® Experience. The meetings took place in Orlando, Fla., Nov. 11-13.
The Board of Directors voted to replace the term “handicap” with “disability” in Article 10 of the Code of Ethics, in the Standards of Practice, and in corresponding NAR references to protected classes under fair housing law. This change to the Code was subsequently approved by the NAR Delegate Body and will go into effect Jan. 1, 2023. Click here to read the full article.
