 Our members have reached out to the Legal Information Line requesting information on what a listing agent should do if their seller has confirmed COVID-19. In response, Nevada REALTORSⓇ (NVR) offers the following best practices to provide guidance in that instance.

FAQs PART III: NVR Eviction Moratorium Webinar

 Nevada REALTORSⓇ hosted a second webinar on the eviction moratorium on July 14 to clarify the continued flow of questions from its members on this topic. You can view that video recording here. The total number of attendees at this webinar was over double the amount of members who attended the first webinar, which held July 1. The initial webinar recording can be viewed here.
The upward trend of questions into NVR's Legal Information Line, along with the growing number of attendees at these webinars, supports the need for continued education and information on this topic. Governor extends Directive indefinitely

On Friday, Governor Sisolak announced that he has extended his directive - which was originally set to expire July 31 - for an indefinite period. The best place to find all of the up-to-date information and better understand how the Governor is making his decisions is through the Nevada Health Response Center, in coordination with the Local Empowerment Advisory Panel (LEAP) and the Governor's Office. Those groups are working together weekly, releasing general guidance for individuals and businesses for the reopening, in alignment with the Nevada United: Roadmap to Recovery. |

Deadlines approaching for award nominations

 Nevada REALTORS® is accepting nominations for 2020 REALTOR® of the Year Award (ROY), Distinguished REALTOR® Award (NDRA) and REALTOR® Active in Politics award (RAP). Governor Sisolak signed an emergency directive Friday night, extending previous COVID-19 mitigation directives set to expire July 31 for an indefinite period. A long-term mitigation strategy will be unveiled later this week. For REALTORS®, this means that Open Houses and In-Person Showings of Tenant Occupied properties is still PROHIBITED. There are no exceptions.
