Over the last three decades, health care costs have been steadily increasing and, absent reform, will continue to do so at an unsustainable pace. Lawmakers need to support broad reform that will reduce the cost of coverage, provide universal access, focus on individual responsibility and empowerment, create the right market-based incentives, and focus on improving quality while driving out unnecessary, wasteful and harmful care.
