Need Help Explaining Why Counselors Should Be Covered by Medicare?

NBCC is part of the Medicare Mental Health Workforce Coalition along with several other organizations including the American Counseling Association (ACA), The American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA), The American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), and The National Council for Behavioral Health (NCBH). Together, we have created an infographic with talking points and data you can use when reaching out to legislators. Counselors must be covered Medicare providers to be able to serve the many older adults and disabled individuals (of any age) who are desperate for access to quality mental health services.

Legislators need to hear your stories to understand how vital it is for the Medicare Mental Health Access Improvement Act of 2019 to be passed (S. 286/H.R. 945). Your support is critical!
