URGENT: Act now to protect abortion access in West Virginia | Public hearing TOMORROW, July 26 at 9am
Action Alert
The House Health Committee has advanced a bill criminalizing abortion, even in extreme circumstances.

Currently, West Virginia's archaic crime of abortion is unenforceable after our legal teams secured an injunction in Kanawha County Circuit Court last week. But that could all change.

We need everyone to contact their legislators now and tell them to REMOVE the crime of abortion from West Virginia's state code.

We also need for all of you to pack the Capitol tomorrow, Wednesday, July 27. Go in person – this is no time to be shy, and don't hesitate to share your feelings.

Come make your voice heard at the Capitol during the public hearing about abortion legislation.

Wednesday, July 27, 9 a.m.
Speakers sign up by 8:30 a.m.
West Virginia Capitol Building – House Chambers

We need everyone packing the House Chambers for our public hearing tomorrow, Wednesday, July 27 at 9 a.m. Speakers should arrive to sign up at 8:00am.

If you can't participate in person, you can send written testimony by email to House Speaker Roger Hanshaw, Majority Leader Amy Summers, Judiciary Chairman Moore Capito, and Tara Carpenter.

Join us after the hearing for a rally at the Capitol. Following the rally, we will attend the floor session.

This is the fight of our lives. We will never stop fighting for abortion rights. But we need all of you with us.
